Thank you, for appreciating my music! I recorded this album with the core of my band. which is Tobias Kavelar who also plays guitars and has a lot of knowledge about recording as well and Horst Fritscher, who is playing the bass. It was us three putting this album together. I wrote the songs, we arranged them together and in about 10 sessions we recorded it ourselves in our living rooms. then we invited some guest musicians to add some spices here and there. but in the process we realized, this album will be very pure, without big effects or complicated arrangements. thanks to good microphones and computers, we managed to get good quality recordings. So it has become a very intimate album.

Io ho registrato questo album col nucleo della mia band che è Tobias Kavelar che suona anche le chitarre e ha molta esperienza circa le registrazioni come si deve e Horst Fritscher che attualmente sta suonando il basso. Siamo stati noi tre a mettere insieme questo album. Io ho scritto le canzoni, le abbiamo arrangiate insieme ed in quasi 10 sessioni abbiamo registrato tutto noi stessi nei nostri salotti. Poi abbiamo invitato alcuni musicisti come ospiti ad aggiungere dei sapori nuovi qui e là. Ma durante il processo di composizione, abbiamo capito che questo album sarebbe stato molto puro, senza grandi effetti o arrangiamenti troppo sofisticati. Grazie a buoni microfoni e computer, noi siam riusciti a trovare buone incisioni di buona qualità. Quindi è diventato un album molto intimo.]
The songs on "No Offense" are a collection of different characters. Characters who live just two blocks from where you are living. There is the nasty neighbour singing "The informer", the selfish outlaw in "Hospital", the loving father in "Bulletproof vest", the critical intellectual in "We don't give a damn". or the notorious loser in "no offense". I chose the title "no offense" because I personally have a sentimental love for the character who is singing "No offense", and because I really mean no harm. I don't want to offend anybody with my music, I just want to call attention to what I see in our society. When I write songs, my approach is often to create a protagonist who is singing the song.
[Le canzoni di "No Offense" sono una raccolta di personaggi diversi. Personaggi che vivono solo a due isolati da dove tu stai vivendo. C'è il vicino sporco che canta "The Informer", il fuorilegge egoista in "Hospital", il padre amorevole in "Bulletproof vest", l'intellettuale critico in "We don't give a damn" o il perdente noto in "No offense". Ho scelto come titolo "No offense" perché io nutro personalmente un amore sentimentale per il carattere che canta "No Offense", e perché veramente io non voglio arrecare danno. Io non voglio offendere nessuno con la mia musica, io voglio solo richiamare l'attenzione su quello che io vedo nella nostra società. Quando io scrivo canzoni, il mio approccio deve creare spesso un protagonista che sta cantando la canzone.]
If you ask about the songs and their creation, I want to answer with a short story I wrote for my songs:

when they are born, [quando sono nati]
you couldn't imagine they haven't been here before. [tu non potevi immaginare che loro nonsono stati qui prima]
Like children. [come i bambini]
They breath. [loro respirano]
They learn to walk, to speak. [imparano a camminare, a parlare]
They grow. [crescono]
Then they have to work. [poi devono lavorare]

And I really also have my problems with them. [ed ho realmente dei seri problemi con loro]

But mostly it feels quite comfortable to have them close. [ma la maggior parte delle volte sembra abbastanza piacevole averle vicino]
It's cosy and warm, and, you know... [è comodo e caldo, e, sai...]
I have always somebody to talk to. [io ho sempre qualcuno a cui parlare]
And sometimes, [e talvolta]
sometimes I catch one of those guys just in the right moment! [talvolta prendo uno di questi ragazzi proprio nel momento esatto!]
And I tell you, there's nothing like catching a song in the right moment! [e ti dico che non c'è niente come l'acciuffare ua canzone al momento giusto!]
5. What about your future?
[Riguardo il tuo futuro?]
I can't say. All I know now is that I want to promote " No Offense " and play it Live as much as I can while gathering ideas and material for my next album. Which is not an easy task. I still don't have the infrastructure the music market works with. NO BOOKING AGENCY YET!! So, bookers, contact us!! The job is still available!
[Posso dire che tutto quello che so adesso è che voglio promuovere in giro "No offense" e suonarlo dal vivo più che posso mentre immagazzino idee e materiale per il disco nuovo. Che non è una cosa semplice perchè non ho ancora una macchina promozionale del tutto pronta. Non ho un'agenzia booking!! Perciò agenzie di booking, contattateci!! Il lavoro è ancora disponibile! ]
6. How is your relationship with Italy? Have you ever played in Italy?
[Come è il tuo rapporto con l'Italia? Hai mai suonato in Italia?]
well, two years ago I was in Italy, yes. And I also played, yes. But do you really want to know the story? Shortly before I came to Italy, I was in Berlin. I just had the money for the way there, but I was thinking "no problem, I'll just play somewhere and earn the money back!" This worked out in Berlin. But in Italy - no. Again I had just the money for the way there, and I thought, "no problem, I'll just play somewhere and earn the money back! Just like in Berlin". I played the streets in Pisa - three hours. I didn't even earn a euro. The next day I played in Firenze - again many hours. The only ones interested in my music were some doves and I guess they just wanted some bread crumbs. Well, I earned two euros. And a bum gave it to me. I guess as a token for my stubbornness. I had to borrow the money from my host to get back to Munich. She told me before, that playing the streets alone without a band will be a tough lesson in Italy. Because street music is something that the gypsies do. That's why I'm really surprised that now people in Italy are so into my music. But don't get me wrong. I have no bad feelings for Italy. I'm very keen on coming back to play my music!! And I hope I don't have to tell you that Italy is the creator of the BEST food and eating culture all over the world!
[Bene, son stato due anni fa in Italia, sì. E ci ho anche suonato, sì. Ma vuoi sapere veramente come è andata? Poco prima di venire in Italia, son stato a Berlino. Avevo solo i soldi per stare là, ma stavo pensando "nessun problema, appena suonerò in qualche posto, guadagnerò di nuovo i soldi!" Questo funzionò a Berlino. Ma in Italia, no. Di nuovo avevo solo i soldi per stare là, ed io pensai, "nessun problema, io appena suonerò in qualche posto, guadagnerò di nuovo i soldi! Come a Berlino." Suonai per le strade di Pisa - tre ore. Non guadagnai neanche un euro. Il giorno dopo suonai a Firenze - di nuovo molte ore. Le uniche persone interessate alla mia musica erano delle colombe ed immagino che loro volessero soltanto delle molliche. Bene, guadagnai due euro. E me li diede un vagabondo. Immagino un gettone per la mia caparbietà. Io dovevo prendere in prestito dei soldi per il mio viaggio di ritorno a Monaco dalla mia ospite. Lei mi disse dapprima che suonare per strada da solo senza una band sarebbe stata una dura lezione in Italia. Perchè la musica da strada è qualcosa che fanno gli zingari. Ecco perchè sono molto sorpreso del fatto che adesso la gente italiana è così interessata alla mia musica. Ma non fraintendermi. Non ho un brutto rapporto con l'Italia. Sono molto ansioso di tornare a suonare la mia musica in Italia!! E spero di non doverti ricordare che per me l'Italia è la creatrice del miglior cibo e della miglior cultura gastronomica di tutto il mondo!]
7. If you had to recommend three contemporary artists, who would you choose?
